Coming soon at JJHS:

Friday, January 23 during common lunch (11am-12pm) Northwell Health will be presenting a workshop for any interested high school students on techniques to manage stress and anxiety.

Join Toni Russo, RN, RYT, to unlock practical tools for stress relief and emotional calm. Students will learn and explore Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or 'tapping' – a hands-on method to quickly re-center yourself. Plus, learn and practice simple mindfulness techniques that can be used anywhere, anytime to navigate challenges and build resilience.

Please encourage your student to attend if you feel this workshop will be helpful for them.

Bring It for Brooke

In May 2025, Bring It for Brooke, a local nonprofit organization, hosted its First Annual Brooke Audrey D’Aleo Memorial Event in memory of Brooke Audrey D’Aleo. The purpose was twofold — to honor Brooke’s life and to raise funds for families with a critically ill child.

Thanks to the incredible support from our community, the event was a great success, and we were able to raise sufficient funds to make a meaningful impact. Families in need can apply for assistance through the Brooke D'Aleo Memorial Fund by using the link: Apply Here

In addition, we are organizing a Care Network to provide hands-on support, community connection, and resources for families navigating medical challenges. Those interested in joining or learning more can visit the following link: Learn About the Care Network
