Senior Week and Seminar Day Info
Dear Senior Parents,
Can you believe we are in the homestretch? Senior Week will be here before we know it, and we are working to create a fun and memorable send off for the Class of 2026. We would greatly appreciate your help in making these celebrations possible.
Senior Week will take place April 27–May 1, just before AP exams and prior to students leaving for their internships. Each year, the PTO sponsors themed activities throughout the week to celebrate our seniors and recognize their time at JJHS. We are currently finalizing the schedule and look forward to sharing more details soon.
On May 21, students will return from their internships for Senior Seminar Day, organized by the Counseling Center. The day begins with a Senior Pancake Breakfast, followed by workshops and activities, and concludes with the Senior BBQ on the front lawn.
Senior Week activities, along with the Pancake Breakfast and Senior BBQ, are funded by the PTO and with your donations! We estimate the total cost of these events will be approximately $4,000, with only a small percentage coming from the PTO's general funds.
The difference is made possible through the generosity of senior families. Monetary donations, contributions of goods, and volunteer time help ensure these events remain a special JJHS tradition.
If you would like to contribute financially, you may:
- Send a donation via Venmo to @JJHS-PTO (please include “FOR SENIOR WEEK & SEMINAR” in the comment)
- Send a donation via Zelle to johnjayhspto@gmail.com (please include “FOR SENIOR WEEK & SEMINAR” in the comment)
- Send a check payable to JJHS PTO (include “FOR SENIOR WEEK & SEMINAR”in the memo) and deliver it to the main office
Please note that the PTO also funds five Senior Scholarships and provides refreshments for Senior Recognition Night.
Let’s come together to give our seniors the celebration they deserve as they prepare for their next chapter.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Senior Committee at jjhsseniors2026@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
The Senior Class Committee

Bring It for Brooke
In May 2025, Bring It for Brooke, a local nonprofit organization, hosted its First Annual Brooke Audrey D’Aleo Memorial Event in memory of Brooke Audrey D’Aleo. The purpose was twofold — to honor Brooke’s life and to raise funds for families with a critically ill child.
Thanks to the incredible support from our community, the event was a great success, and we were able to raise sufficient funds to make a meaningful impact. Families in need can apply for assistance through the Brooke D'Aleo Memorial Fund by using the link: Apply Here
In addition, we are organizing a Care Network to provide hands-on support, community connection, and resources for families navigating medical challenges. Those interested in joining or learning more can visit the following link: Learn About the Care Network
